Although the team came home with a good medal haul and some good results as a member of the Womens Endurance Squad I can say we have learnt a lot and we know that the time between now and race day in London is going to be very important and we will do everything we can to line up in London and know we are ready.
The Women's Team Pursuit is a new event and in London it will be the first time as an Olympic Event. This means the standards for the event keep getting faster and the progression rate in this event is very rapid. The world record was broken again in Melbourne so now its not about training to break the world record because in Olympic year you have to aim higher.
As a Womens Squad we are ready and we have the goods and we are all excited about the next period leading to London.
We are home in NZ now for about a month of ground work. Getting into some NZ racing will be good as you're always guaranteed a good race here at home! Hopefully the sun shines for us a bit longer as I'll be out on the Waikato roads clocking up some base miles on the Questa. Then we jet set off around the globe again in search of Olympic Glory. Time flies when you're having fun and i'm sure we will all get to London fast but we will look back and have faith in what we have done to get there.
Its exciting times ahead and I'm looking forward to every day, it won't be an easy road to London but it will one the Women's Squad tackles together
