After completing many club road races around the Manawatu as a young teen I was persuaded by fellow rider Jesse Sergent to compete in the local Feilding Tuesday night club races. Fortunately the club offered bright blue Avanti Pista track bikes for beginners! Since then I havent looked back and trained and raced around the world many times over.

I have won mutiple World Cup Titles and Medals. Multiple World Championship Medals. Multiple Commonwealth Medals, and an Olympic Medal in London 2012. Also I have had the privilege to race in the professional Japanese Keirin League between 2010 and 2014. I am currently working hard towards Rio, Gold Coast, and Tokyo along with all the World Cups and Championships along the way. If you see me out riding my Avanti Corsa SL - just yell out for a yarn!

Favourite Result:
My favourtie result would have to be when I made my first World Championship podium. It was in Melbourne in 2012, many of my friends and family had traveled over to watch. It was awesome to win Bronze in the Kilo TT in 1.00.456 as a 23 year old along with a new national record.

Proudest bike moment:
My proudest moment on my bike would have to be when I crossed the line in at the London Olympics for a Bronze medal. Winning an Olympic Medal for your country and family is a hugely proud moment. What made it even more awesome was that I shared the podium with Sir Chris Hoy as he won his 6th Gold Medal to become the greatest Olympic track cyclist ever.
